Two arrested following drugs bust at Ripon’s South Lodge

Police arrested two men and seized suspected cocaine and other drugs in a raid at South Lodge in Ripon today.

North Yorkshire Police said in a statement this afternoon its Harrogate outer neighbourhood policing team seized suspected class A and class B drugs at the pub, which is on Harrogate Road.

It said the substances, which are believed to be cocaine, cannabis and “items relating to drugs supply”, would be sent for lab analysis.

A man in his 20s and a man in his 50s have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, police said.

“They are currently in police custody while the investigation continues.”

Police also found cash and weapons at the property.

Sergeant Pierre Olesqui, from the team, said:

If you’d like to share information about drugs where you live, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and select option 1, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
