Police discover drug stash after stopping Fiat 500 in Cotswolds

A man was arrested in the Cotswolds after police officers stopped a suspicious car. Sharing a picture of the Fiat 500 on social media, police say the car was uninsured and drugs were found inside.

It was being driven by a man who was then arrested on suspicion of immigration offences, according to officers. The cream-coloured car was stopped in Tetbury on Saturday, April 20, Gloucestershire Police said.

A “small” amount of drugs and some cash were seized and the car itself was also seized for being driven without insurance, the force added in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The driver was then arrested on suspicion of immigration offences.

The Cotswolds Police account posted on X: “PC Webb & PCSO Maina caught up with this car in Tetbury today. A small quantity of drugs and some cash were seized from the Albanian driver who was arrested for immigration offences. His car was seized for being used with no insurance.”
